DSC क्या है और यह expire क्यों होता है?
Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) एक electronic credential है जो Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) के तहत Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) द्वारा accredited Certifying Authorities (CAs) द्वारा issue किया जाता है।
India में major DSC providers हैं: eMudhra, Sify Technologies, NSDL e-Governance, Capricorn CA, और (n)Code Solutions। DSC की validity आमतौर पर 1 या 2 साल होती है। Expiry के बाद, सभी e-filings, e-tendering, और MCA/Income Tax portal operations block हो जाते हैं।

DSC की expiry date कैसे check करें
Option 1 — Token Management Software से
USB token को computer में plug करें
eMudhra, Sify या अपने CA का token management software खोलें। हर CA का अपना software होता है — eMudhra SafeNet, ePass2003, WD PROxKey आदि।
'View Certificate' या 'Certificate Details' खोलें
Software में certificate की details देखें जिसमें 'Valid From' और 'Valid To' dates होती हैं। 'Valid To' ही expiry date है।
Date note करें और reminder set करें
अगर आपके पास centralized system नहीं है, तो हर client के लिए calendar में कम से कम 90 दिन पहले reminder set करें।
Option 2 — Browser से (बिना token के)
अगर आपके पास .cer या .p12 file है, तो Windows में उसे double-click करके certificate viewer में Valid to field देख सकते हैं। Mac पर Keychain Access में same information मिलती है।
Option 3 — AlertaCert से (multiple clients के लिए)

क्या expiry से पहले renewal हो सकती है?

DSC Renewal Process: दो तरीके
Method A — Online Renewal (DSC अभी valid है)

Method B — Physical Verification (DSC expire हो चुका है)
CA के Registration Authority (RA) पर appointment लें
eMudhra, Sify, और NSDL के nationwide RA centers हैं। कई CA firms और accounting offices भी authorized RA points हैं।
Documents ले जाएं
PAN card + Aadhaar card + passport-size photo + पुराना USB token (अगर available हो)। Companies के लिए: Certificate of Incorporation + authorized signatory का ID।
Biometric verification
Class 3 DSC के लिए in-person biometric verification required है। RA center पर fingerprint capture होती है।
नया token receive करें
In-person process पर typically same day या next day issue होता है।
